Investment Promotion: Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Karl Samuda (centre) in discussion with Spanish Ambassador to Jamaica, Jesus Silva (left), and President of Jamaica Trade and Invest, Robert Gregory (right) following a media briefing at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices on Tuesday, July 8. Commerce Minister Meets with JCC

Looking on is acting permanent secretary in the ministry, Reginald Budhan (right). Ms. Madison made a courtesy call on Minister Samuda on Thursday, February 28, at his New Kingston offices. Ms. Madison was visiting Jamaica from February 27-29 to discuss and underscore the United States’ support for the Government of Jamaica’s current reform agenda, its policy initiatives to foster economic development, stem crime and corruption, and to reiterate US interest in continued collaboration in counter-narcotics and hemispheric security.
